Arjun was born into slavery. His mother had been sick and his father took out a loan from the brickyard owner and entered indentured servitude. His father tried many times to work his way out of slavery but was always unsuccessful. Often times it would result in him being further in debt, such is the treatment of these Christians.

He started making bricks when he was 7. Arjun married another slave, Komal and they now have a daughter, Nazish.
